Just got an app..to blog from my iPad.

This may or may not work. If it does, I will be so happy because posting will become so much easier and more frequent. This week has been beautiful chaos. I've had my 4 year old god daughter for a week..






And don't forget these two, every other day..






I won't lie. It's been one of the hardest weeks of my life but so rewarding. I'm laying in my goddaughters temporary room packing up her thinking about how much I will miss her. The things that frustrated me the most, will probably be most missed

- I will miss near knocking on my bedroom door at 5:30 am. She may be an early bird but she's a polite early bird.
- I will miss bath time and getting my pants wet washing her hair.
- I will miss hearing her laugh and scream while her and Joplin played.







- I will miss her telling me every night how much she loves me, how special her room is and how she can't wait to see me in the morning.
- I will miss our in depth conversations on the way to work.
- I will miss the help, the laughter, the hugs, the company and so much more..






I am now crying my eyes out. Were gonna go have a special Christmas... I got her ladybug a pillow pet. She's only mentioned it 322 times. She sold me when she exclaimed "it's a pillow..a pet..and WASHABLE". I'm thinking about sending those pillow pet geniuses her video :)

this is a long one..

I'm pretty sure if there were such thing as a bloggers license..I would get it revoked. There has been many fun things happening since my last blog so be prepared for excessive pictures of my darling boyfriend, precious dogs & lots of food.

1. G & I want to extend a big THANK YOU to those who donated to the St. Jude's walk we participated in. It means a lot to us and we truly appreciated it!

2. My main man turned 31 this week (gasp)! Yes blog word, thats a 10 year age difference. :) We celebrated all weekend. Friday we cooked out.. hotdogs, chips & beer. It was perfect. We roasted smores in the fireplace and hung out with our babies.

Yup. This beast did. I found this WAY funnier than G did. It was obviously HIS plate. Happy Birthday bud :)



On Saturday I suprised him with Mike Bibiglia tickets. It was at the Carolina Theater in Durham. We really enjoyed the theater and had a GREAT night :) Here's a link to his show.. pretty funny stuff.

3. We spent an AMAZING weekend in the mountains where his mom lives. We had a cozy dinner by the fireplace, played lots of scrabble, ate REALLY well, walked around precious shops, had much needed downtime, finished up my semesters homework, enjoyed beautiful scenery and really just had a great weekend away. This place is magical. I cry every time we have to leave.



All my picture were automatically resized obnoxiously small today..super annoying. I will work on that. I will leave you with some pictures of the most obnoxious, ugly, ragged, hyperactive, totally perfect dogs ever :)

lack of consistency.

Blogging such as everything in my life is pretty sporadic for me. It's really no shock that I havent updated in 23 days. BUT it's with good reasoning. I have been very busy! And not the bad kind of busy...the pumpkin carving, Alabama football season, fair going, baby holding, dessert baking, picture taking, going out late, making that money kinda busy!

I'm just gonna updated with a few pictures of the past couple of weeks. Please forgive the quality - everything is with my camera phone :(

G has been traveling for about 2 weeks, with just a few days home in between. While I hate he travels so much - he ALWAYS brings back fun gifts for me and our 2 little babies. This week he was in California...eating In-N-Out. Ever since Mike took me there years ago.. I have been craving it. So needless to say - I was very jealous when he called while devouring a hamburger. No worries..he brought me back, no, not a 3 day old hamburger. A T-SHIRT. Yes, I am THAT girl..who LOVES any cheesy, ridiculous t-shirt. It's black..awesome..perfectly fitting & of course, currently on me.



After I did a happy dance.. he said THAT wasn't my good surprise. He then told me the next gift would make me mad..and happy. Thats never a good sign. He gave me a hint..which was a picture of the mural outside L.A Ink. OH MY GOSH. (Did he get a tattoo at LA Ink without me?!!! Did he meet Kat without me?!!) This is the mad part he was speaking of! No worries.. no ink. No celebrity encounter. Just two AWESOME AWESOME shirts. The kind of shirts I LOVE. I would seriously let him dress me for the rest of my life.. he is the BEST at picking out clothes. Sorry, the images are so small.




I have a feeling my mother is saying, "What is LA Ink & who is that crazy tattoo lady?" Oh well.

stuntin' like my daddy - bargain shopping like my mama.

Let me preface this by saying I am very aware that not everyone shares the same sense of humor as I do. Let me also preface this by saying - you dont have to read this. :)

People, I am broke. All sorts of broke. And with the recent change of weather, it is KILLING me to not go shopping. I mean can't a girl just get a new scarf oh man, I am green with envy over my neighbors new Madden boots. I always have disliked her.

Even when I did shop, it wasn't like I was at Nordstorms (maybe Nordstrom Rack, Case.) It was Target, TJ Maxx & of course, Ross. Many of my friends cringe at the site of Ross. Me on the other hand, think its awesome. Where else can you buy Christmas CD'S, Non stick pans & polo shirts all at the same place. Exactly.


This video has truly made me laugh out loud EVERY time I watch it. If you have never been to Ross, are offended by non vulgar rap music or really just have no sense of humor..dont waste your time. Anyone else - please watch it. Does anyone else think this is great? Hope you smiled on his beautiful Monday.




On a sidenote.. anyone know of any part time jobs. Hey, mine as well use my blog to my advantage.

To all my girlfriends (especially Casey) this post is going to blow their mind. I have been a lover of man hating tv shows & music my entire life. It's kinda the family joke that I watch lifetime and listen to songs about burning guys houses down. What can I say, I'm a little bitter. When I lived with Casey..and even now, we would look up "i have been hurt my men" quotes and just laugh and laugh. Thanks for those memories Case.

Now dont get me wrong. I LOVE a good Taylor Swift song but I usually laugh at the end or make some cynical joke about it. Cynical - thats a good word to describe my outlook on life. Which honestly had a lot to do with the downfall of my last relationship.. anyways.



I have realized that G truly thinks I am pretty and smart and funny. And instead of making some rude remark..I have learned to say "thank you". And what a change this has made on our relationship. I know I am not the prettiest without make up and sometimes I need to put a dern dress on..but man, I am grateful for a man who thinks "I am amazing..just then way I am". I dont usually like "teen pop" trendy music. But this words to this song -- and the video, really speaks to me. I hope you enjoy it. I can not take credit for this idea. But my friend Laura (mentioned in a previous post) wrote a cute blog this morning about how the best camera..is the one you have. Moments after G called me from GEORGIA.. after a week long journey home from Iraq. I was determined to not get my hopes up until you were on US soil. This was the sweetest phone called I have ever gotten.

if you were not my best friend, id hate you.

My best friend is NOTHING like me. You wont catch her not in heels, her hair and make up is always perfect & she probably owns everything glittery and shiny in the entire Raleigh area. If she were not my best friend..she would be the kind of girl I would talk about.



I met Chelsea in middle school - I'll save the juicy details but almost 9 years later she is still my best friend. This past year we have definitely grown closer and I often question how I functioned when she was not as present in my life.

Today is her 21st birthday. I am so happy you were born :). I am so lucky to have you in my life, if I dont tell you enough, you are a spectacular friend.



This list is endless but here are somethings I love about you.

1. You are such a positive person. I have loved to watch you mature into a caring, loving & non judgemental person. Thanks for not caring how I look when we go out. (Although, that means you get more attention..hmm) I appreciate when I ask your opinion on something you tell me "do what makes you feel comfortable" and I know you truly mean that.

2. I love that you're not only beautiful but that you're smart. My little math, science nerd. I am so proud of your school.. dont give up :)



3. I think its awesome how much you love your family. You are a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt & friend.

4. Thanks for helping me get ready. Doing ALL my hair, putting my make up on & always bringing me something to wear.



5. Winterfest, Winterfest, 8th grade prom, Corey Smith, Bo Time, Concerts, Emerald Pointe, Pool days, "the shirt", Cheerleading... this list could go on forever. I think you get the point, it's always a guarantee good night when were together.
